Last week we successfully closed our CSF (crowd-sourced funding) raise on Birchal with more than $1 million invested by 499 people to help us unfuck the fashion industry for good. We could not be more humbled by the support, including many of our best customers who took a giant leap of faith to become our business partner.
We want to say thank you to everyone who invested – we cannot wait to crack on with our plans to grow the business by scaling our Magic Fit® technology to any garment, for any body, anywhere in the world.
Because Citizen Wolf was never about T-shirts.
Six years ago we set out to change the fashion industry by proving it was possible to put customers at the centre of a brand making only the clothes they want to wear in the most sustainable and ethical way possible.
As much as we love Tees – and are now well-known for them – Citizen Wolf was never about Tees. They were simply our proof of concept to validate an entirely new blueprint for the way clothes are made at scale: zero-waste, custom-fit and circular. Since then, we’ve sold over 50,000 Magic Fit® Tees and have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is possible to re-engineer the system for making clothes to be better for customers and the planet at the same time.
Now it’s time to scale out both the brand and the technology by making more of the clothes you want to wear and also selling overseas. Because as much as we love Sydney and Australia, the idea behind Citizen Wolf is bigger than the land of sweeping plains.
In many ways, this is the end of the beginning for us and the start of a new chapter. We couldn’t be more excited for what comes next, because together we will change the world!
